My first own camera was a Kodak Brownie 127. with the classical 4x 6,5 cm format. The film had been around since 1912, so when I got the camera on January 20.th 1963 it had been around for some time. This camera had a very bad lens and did not give you pictures that was sharp all around. So Kodak came up with a design that made the film plan into a curve, to obtain shapnes at least in into the longer ends. This was also the year when Kodak introduced the Instamatic™ and made photography easy, in Norway the slogan was : Selv mor kan Even Mother can… I do not think this would be possible today. But with Kodakcolor X we at least got a film that was easier to develop in C-22, a standard from 1963 until 1974. I used Kodak Verichrome pan , a b&w film with “true” rendering of colours…. Later the same year I would show that Photography was MY thing…...
